Apply to the American School of Paris

Thank you for considering the American School of Paris (ASP) for your child.
We accept applications for students ages 3 to 18 and are here to guide you through each step of the admissions process.

ASP welcomes families from more than 60 nationalities and offers a fully English-speaking, international education from Preschool to Grade 12,

At the Upper School, ASP awards all graduates an American High School Diploma. Students may also take Advanced Placement (AP) courses, and in Grades 11–12 students may also pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Whether you are already in France or relocating from abroad, our Admissions Team provides personalised support at every stage. Virtual meetings and campus tours are available for interested families.

If you have any questions about availability or placement, our Admissions Office will be happy to advise you before you begin.

Our Application Process

ASP operates with a rolling admissions model, meaning applications are reviewed as soon as they are complete.

Your application should be completed online through our portal and typically includes:

Required documents

  • Student’s school reports (previous 2 years and current year)
  • Student questionnaire (age-appropriate)
  • Confidential Teacher and Counselor forms
  • Parent questionnaire
  • Copy of passport

Applications are considered complete once we have received (through the application portal) all of the required documents and the application fee (€1450). Please note that if for any reason we are unable to accept an applicant, we will refund your application fee in full.

English-Language Assessment

For Grade 6–12 applicants, an EAL (English as an Additional Language) ASP-administered assessment may be required to determine the appropriate level of support.

Placement Decision

The Admissions Committee reviews all completed files and communicates decisions within 15 working days.

Admissions Timeline

ASP reviews applications on a rolling basis, with decisions typically sent within 15 working days.

October

Applications open for the following academic year. Rolling review of complete applications.

Current School Year

Rolling admissions are possible if space permits.

Why applying early matters

We strongly recommend submitting your application as early as possible once the October window opens. Many grade levels, as well as certain courses particularly in the International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs, fill quickly.
