7 Living Skills Seminars September 14 and 18 | 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Presented over two days, Living Skills provides a special orientation to living in the Paris area and useful information related to school life. An ASP nurse will discuss how the nurses' office functions and what services can be provided at school A doctor will discuss the French medical system and provide information on finding an English-speaking doctor and handling a medical emergency A presentation by a member of the ASP security team Tips on navigating in and around Paris bycarorpublictransportation A discussion with an expert on Paris restaurants A presentation by a culinary expert on what to look for when shopping at the local markets and how to find French versions of your favorite foods from home Navigating ASP – a deep dive into various school programs and systems, to help ensure you get the most out of your ASP experience Meet PFA leaders and learn more about what they do and opportunities to participate Bon Appétit! Lunch will be provided on both Living Skills dates. 7 Community Connections Fair September 18 | 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. (including a light buffet lunch) V isit the Community Connections Fair and meet a variety of local English-speaking vendors and service providers. Participants typically include representatives from clubs, service institutions, language and cooking schools, banks, and more.
