Books from a variety of genres are selected and discussed. Contact: mchioini@asparis.fr 3-Year-Old - Grade 2 Fun Club This new bilingual after-school program for our youngest students features: yoga, gymnastics, singing, puppet theater, storytelling, art, science/technology, and more! Fun Club Sports (Pre K-Grade 1) Tee Ball (Fall), Mini-Tennis (Spring) Develop motor skills with mini-drills and fun games while sharpening English and French skills as part of a team. Grades 2-8 Many of the after-school activities for this age group feature a bilingual French-English environment. Activities are offered for a cost-only fee. Please refer to the After-School Activities Brochure on the Parent Portal for details and each semester’s offerings. Some of the classes offered recently include: AcroYoga (Grades 2-5) This fun yoga introduction focuses on zen, inner peace, and many cool crafts complementing individual reflection and self-actualization. Art Club Students discover many facets of art and create unique works by drawing, paper-mâché, ceramics, and other techniques. Fashion Drawing & Design Young designers will learn the basics of fashion rendering and illustration, including figure proportions, shading, and style details to create an individual portfolio. A final project includes dressing a 3D model with a variety of materials to create a unique line of clothing. Ninja Track (Grades 2-5) A fitness program with a variety of sports that combine simple ninja-moves and track and field. ASP offers a rich and varied range of after-school and co-curricular activities which provide avenues for self-expression, language learning, personal growth, and insights into the world around us. Co-curricular Activities Lower School Music Opportunities Lower School students enjoy learning music together and performing at assemblies and concerts. Students are encouraged to participate in one of the after-school music programs which include: Lower School Singers, String Ensemble, and Band Ensemble. Youth Summer and Vacation Programs American School of Paris Extension offers school vacation and summer programs in a variety of activities, including sports, arts, and technology, in English or in French.
