Celebration | the Future is Here! | Summer 2018 14 Class of 2018 GRADUATION ASP Graduates The Next Generation ASP is where I discovered and developed many talents. I wanted my children to also have an ASP education; I believe it can best prepare them for life. Paris will always be a home for me, and now, for my children, too. Christi Painter Opstrup ’91 with Aaron Hubbard, her former teacher, and with her daughter McKayla Opstrup ’18 Life lessons Personal Connections, Shared Experiences T he most important lessons come through personal connection and shared experiences. Remember that although you may have grown up on different sides of the planet, it was a friend from Russia or China or Brazil that was there for you and understood exactly how you felt. Some of the best times of your life were spent alongside people who you may have never met had it not been for a unique and quirky school just outside of Paris. It seems that the world we live in today is becoming more divided. Being fortunate enough to receive an ASP education entails a certain responsibility. Use the time you spent alongside people of different cultures and backgrounds as a springboard to spreading love. I am confident that our graduating class can have a very tangible and impactful footprint on this planet. Christian Reed ’18
