Middle School Extracurricular

ASP is once again pleased to offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities in FRENCH and ENGLISH for your children.

We are delighted to offer SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL FEES for a rich variety of extracurricular activities for students in Grades 6-8 in both English and in French (each activity runs once a week on the same day after school):

Fashion Drawing and Design

Here in the capitol city of Paris, we breathe fashion and design! Young passionate designers will learn the basics of fashion rendering and illustration, including figure proportions, shading, and styledetails to create an individual portfolio. Then, the final project includes dressing a 3D model with a variety of materials to create a unique line of clothing. You will also learn basic hand sewing techniques (but no sewing machines will be used). Sessions in English. Grades 6-8, Wednesdays (11 sessions starting September 14), 110€ (special promotional fee)

Paris is the home to Roland Garros and its unique clay court Grand Slam tournament and is one of the most popular sports in France and certainly a central cultural experience for many French students. Students will take lessons in FRENCH with instructors from Players Tennis Academy (off-campus and transportation is provided to and from the courts) and all levels are welcome. The focus is on developing all skills involved in this beautiful game. Students must have their own tennis shoes and rackets to participate. More details to follow about the activity day and meeting point. Sessions in FRENCH. NOW CLOSED ***

Dance Workout and Movement

Middle school students will remember quite well the dance sessions last week with Lauren Macé, our dance teacher extraordinaire! Born in France and trained in New York, she is excited to share her passion with middle school students who want to use this opportunity to dance enthusiastically and get a good workout in at the same time! You will learn fundamentals of multiple styles of dance, from traditional to modern, all the while letting your body groove to the great music each week. You'll never become a better dancer if you don't try! Activity sessions in English. More details to follow about the activity day and meeting point. Grades 6-8, Tuesdays (11 sessions starting September 13), 85€

NOW CLOSED - Film-Making

Do you enjoy making videos with your friends? Do you enjoy being in front of the camera? Film production classes continue to grow in popularity and we are here to help you learn the technical skills to be the next Steven Spieldberg or Jennifer Lawrence! Learn to write compelling stories and convert them into storyboards; then take on the camera to begin directing and acting in your original films; finally you will learn the power that comes from editing. You will even study clips of great films to help you grow as a film-maker, and what better city than our cinema-rich Paris to create a film classic! Activity sessions in FRENCH. More details to follow about the activity day and meeting point. NOW CLOSED ***
