Parents-Faculty-Staff Book Club 2021-2022

The Book Club is for parents, faculty and staff members of ASP.

For now, we meet virtually via Zoom every few months from 3:50 to 5:00 pm. During non-pandemic times the meetings are held in the Ghosn Room located on the 4th floor of Building 6.

The meetings are short, informal, lively, and lots of fun. We discuss and share ideas, thoughts, and comments, and choose the book for the following meeting.

JUNE 2021

For our last meeting of the year we discussed Kazuo Ishiguro's excellent Klara and the Sun.

  • Another Country by James Baldwin
  • Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Jason Reynolds
  • The Invisible Life Of Addie Larue by V.E. Schwab
  • Vanishing Half by Britt Bennett
  • White Teeth by Zadie Smith (option)
  • Klara and the Sun by Kazao Ishiguro

We meet every few months from 3:50 to 5:00 pm. During non-pandemic times the meetings are held in the Ghosn Room located on the 4th floor of Building 6, and virtually, on Zoom, when meeting in person is not possible.

At every meeting we choose our next read and come prepared to discuss and share ideas, thoughts, and comments. The meetings are short, informal, lively, and lots of fun.
