DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP
Technology skills and digital citizenship expectations are seamlessly integrated into all facets of the curriculum. Students are expected to demonstrate a sound understanding of digital media to communicate and work collaboratively, and in every step of the research process.
From locating, organizing, analyzing, evaluating, synthesizing, and ethically using information, our students learn to use a wide variety of information sources. They learn to identify credible and trusted resources, and think critically about their research.
Students are guided to think and reflect about the choices they make in the digital world, on issues like safety, behavior, balance, and the possibilities of technology. Students learn about the care and maintenance of their laptop computers, and skills to use them responsibly in class.
ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY
Our Middle School students are provided with a laptop computer as part of our 1:1 laptop program, with Wi-Fi provided throughout campus and a wide range of web-based resources for research and online learning available for student use.
The Middle School is home to the Nolop Tech Shop, where students learn the fundamentals of the engineering and design cycle by creating objects with tools like Sketchup and TinkerCAD, electronic sensors, laser cutters, and 3D printers.
