Summer Camp 2021
This year, more than ever, we are eager to bring together children and teens from ASP and from local French and international schools for a rich and inspiring summer program of learning, exploration and peer exchanges.
Students can dive into a particular topic or a combination of topics: English communication, visual and performing arts, science and design challenges, all led by highly-qualified specialty and English language instructors.
As they expand their perspective, improve skills or enjoy activities, students take full advantage of all that our campus has to offer, including outdoor spaces, athletic fields, dedicated spaces for performing arts, music, art and innovation.
Discover the incredibly diversified program that is offered across the four weeks and the opportunity for each student to design the perfect course combination of learning and enrichment.
We are excited to welcome you to our summer community.
Exceptionally, we are not offering a French immersion camp since all cultural venues are closed due to the sanitary situation. However, at primary level, activities are open to English and French speakers.

More about our Summer Camp
Supporting A Successful Summer Camp Experience
Immersion in a new language can be daunting at first, yet it is also an exciting experience because it places students in a real-life context. Learning English requires personal motivation, input and patience. Progress will soon follow for students who are proactive during class time and who make the most of the environment provided by the teacher and by their peers.
Your involvement as a parent is equally important to a successful camp experience. We encourage you to inform your child prior to the start of the camp that English only is spoken on campus and that it is the language of instruction with reassurance that teachers will guide beginner students to understand and to communicate. Regular attendance, timeliness, preparedness and a willingness to experience new approaches are also essential to success.
English Language Prerequisites
English is the medium of instruction for all courses and specialty activities in primary and secondary programs unless otherwise indicated. Our English language programs are designed to develop language acquisition or development at all levels through a guided immersion in English approach and targeted instruction.
Speciality activities support language acquisition and some knowledge of English is recommended to make the most of the learning experience though a dual French/English approach or translanguaging can be used to engage participation of English and French speakers.
Grouping
We value a diversity of profiles and interests, and form our groups correspondingly with each student's language learning objectives at heart. We focus on our guiding principle that students learn as much from each other as they do from personal effort and individualized instruction. In language classes, students are grouped by age and according their ability to communicate in English: beginner, intermediate, advanced and fluent.
Beginners in English
We strongly encourage students who are at novice level in English or who have had little exposure to native speech and immersion to enroll in the morning language class to build their language skills and follow with an afternoon enrichment activity or in the Primary English Language Camp.
We welcome children ages five to eighteen years who are eager to participate in summer learning in an English-only setting. Students are placed in groups in their current grades.
Groups range in size from 12 to 18 depending on the session. Activities open when a sufficient number of students are enrolled for it.
Registration Process
Registration for all ASP Extensions will be processed online only. Registrations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis only if the fully completed registration with payment included are submitted to our office. No reservations can be made by phone or email.
Confirmation : Registrations are confirmed by the Extension Director. Once approved, registration is confirmed by email about ten days before camp starts.
Methods of payment : Our online registration system allows payments via credit cards or via a pay pal account. Bank wires are also acceptable.
Full payment for all camps is due at time of registration.
Cancellation / Modification Policy
Cancellation / modification of program due to the participant
A modification of the registration or a cancellation must be notified in writing to extension@asparis.fr
A cancellation is subject to deductions as follows:
● Cancellation occurring from 8 to 30 work days prior to the start of class, 30% of the fee is owed and a 75€ cancellation fee is charged.
● Cancellation occurring up to 7 work days prior to the start of class, 100% of the fee is owed.
● Once the camp has begun, the full fee is owed, no refund is possible.
No refund of the fee will be issued EXCEPT in the case of serious medical or family reasons, and upon presentation of a medical certificate or written evidence sent by email or mail. An administration fee of 75€ will be charged.
Cancellation/Modification due to the ASP Extension
The ASP Extension reserves the right to cancel a proposed session if the number of registrations is insufficient. A minimum of twelve pupils per class / level is required for language and activity camps. Some activities may be modified and/or removed depending on government updates on sanitary protocols. In such cases, The ASP Extension will offer replacement services of similar quality or, alternatively, reimbursement for services not provided.
If as a result of unforeseen and compelling circumstances (such as demonstrations, weather conditions, pandemics and/or any other events jeopardizing the safety of students and teachers attending the school), ASP Extension is obliged to cancel all or part of its commitments, its participants may have the option to : 1) carry over the fee for a program in the school year; 2) request the reimbursement of the sums already paid.
