Dear parents,
We are aware of a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases within our student community. Six students have tested positive over the break–at least one of which was confirmed as the UK variant. These families have been in close contact with our school nurses and all of the critical contacts have been informed.
Before the break, we requested that all Middle and Upper School students take a COVID-19 test, before returning to school, if there was any chance that they were exposed to the virus. If you have not managed to do this and you have any indication that your child could have been exposed, please do not send them to school and ensure they take a COVID-19 test as soon as possible. Tests are easily accessible–rapid antigen tests can be found at most pharmacies and take only 15 minutes to receive a result and PCR tests can be taken at laboratories, with a result usually on the same day. For concerns regarding Lower School students, please contact our nursing team. If in doubt, please keep your children at home.
Thank you for helping to ensure we have a smooth transition back to school.
Sincerely,
Jane Thompson Head of School
