MS POETRY BY HEART INTER-SCHOOLS FINAL

 

From 4 to 6 pm on March 4, ASP will be hosting the Poetry by Heart Middle School Inter-Schools final. A total of 13 schools will participate. ASP's 3 finalists are Gabriella Irani Fey (6), Sophia Wang (7), Matteo Kennedy (8).  Please come by and encourage our budding poets...

JSTOR 
Trial ends on March 3

 

The library has arranged for a trial with JSTOR's Secondary School Collection.

 

The package includes access to over 2,800 archival journals and four primary source collections. JSTOR is unique and is used in over 2000 schools worldwide, and may be a replacement for the soon-to-disappear Questia. Send your comments to M. Chioini.

1. Le Salon du livre de Paris. Rendez-vous du 20 du 23 mars à la Porte de Versailles. Evénements, rencontres, dédicaces...

 

2. Evenings with an Author: Centennial Writer-in-Residence Geraldine Brooks
March 24 @ 19 h 30 min - 21 h 00 min. The library has People of the Book and Years of Wonder: A novel of the plague. Not to be missed. Check also ALP's Calendar page for more events and author visits.

 

3. Deux auteurs québécois remarquables seront en visite à Paris ce mois-ci : Larry Tremblay (L'Orangeraie) sera à La Bibliothèque Gaston Miron - Etudes québécoises, Salle de la Clef de la Biblitohèque universitaire du Campus Censier le 9 mars à 18h30 et au Salon du livre pour la dédicace de Le Deuxième mari.

 

Quant à elle, Audrée Wilhemly (Les Sangs; Le Corps des bêtes) sera l'une des deux invitées de Femmes monde le 25 mars à 19h à l'Espace des femmes au 35, rue Jacob, 75006.

 

4. Picasso et la bande dessinée au Musée national Picasso à Paris du 31 mars au 26 juillet.

 

5. Exposition Sempé, itinéraire d'un dessinateur d'humour : Jusqu'au 31 mars 2020, à l'atelier Grognard, 6 Avenue du Château de la Malmaison, 92500 Rueil-Malmaison.
