Gillian Cavan Lynch and Middle and Upper School theater students have crafted a unique and inventive theatrical experience not to be missed, which will serve to inaugurate the state-of-the-art Black Box Theater in the Arts Link building!

Preceding the showcase performance of ANTIGONE by Anouilh, registered audience members will meet at the Lower School library where they will be met by costumed characters and led along the Thread of Ariande. The story unfolds on a path of animations weaving throughout the Arts Link building. Performances integrate dancing and acting, dialogue in both French and English, and much more! It's a special showcase and celebration of ASP student talent in an interactive and wonderfully creative presentation format, and of our new performance facilities. Space is limited; sign up to reserve your spot and be part of it!

Knitters Needed!

Knitters Needed Now! Parents, Students, Teachers

The theater department is looking for knitters of all ages and skill levels to contribute to the making of a character prop for ANTIGONE by knitting a section of what we hope is going to be a very long scarf!

  • You can use any color wool you would like,
  • You can knit sections as long as you would like.
  • Width must be 12 cm (4.7 inches) in order to best connect all of the sections together.

All knitters will be given recognition for their contribution to this unique stage prop. For more information, or if you just need some wool, please contact teacher Gillian Cavan Lynch

ANTIGONE performers are also collecting old road maps that you no longer need. Look for the collection boxes outside of the PAC Theatre Office and outside of the Black Box (Arts Link, 2nd Floor). Thank you!

Your Memorabilia Sought for Special Homecoming Exhibit!

Memorabilia for ASP Memories

A unique attraction during Homecoming weekend will be an exhibit of school life and childhood memorabilia from the decades since ASP's founding.  We are currently seeking items for this exhibit which represent the 1950s, 60s and 70s – for example metal lunch boxes, trolls, mood rings, early Star-Trek goods, old-fashioned notebooks and pencil holders, etc.  One ASP staff member has already lent us an old-fashioned student desk which she has kept since childhood!

If you have any items, big or small, which you are willing to lend to help bring this very special exhibit to life, please let us know and drop them off with Janet Rubinstein, ASP Communications Manager, in Building 4 near Admissions, or, if you are in Paris, please contact ASP Trustee and alumni parent Ilse Willems to arrange a local drop off. Items will be returned to their owners after the event. Thank you for your support!

ASP Excellence Fund

Support the Excellence Fund

Did you know that ASP is a non-profit organization recognized under the French Association Loi de 1901? Tuition is budgeted wisely, but advancing the school above and beyond requires more than tuition alone can provide. That's where the Excellence Fund comes in! This fund allows the realization of many of the innovative learning opportunities that students benefit from throughout the school year – programs like the recent visit of Rosalind Wiseman, the introduction of 3D printers and other high-tech equipment, and the upcoming creation of a student-tended lavender garden. Please make a gift to the Excellence Fund at whatever level feels right to you – and join us in supporting innovation and creativity at ASP. Thank you for your support!
