Reserve now for an amazing theatrical experience in English right here at ASP as renowned theater troupe Word for Word performs next Monday and Tuesday evenings in the PAC!
It is a great honor for ASP to host Word for Word, an ensemble whose mission is to tell
great stories with elegant theatricality, staging performances of classic and
contemporary fiction. Founded in 1993, they believe in the power of the short story
to provide solace, compassion and insight into one's daily life.
Set in 1950s Washington, D.C., this noir tale spotlights a young Korean War vet who sets out to solve a murder and becomes entangled in a web of family history. To read more and to register, please visit the American Library in Paris website. Note that all registrations must be handled in advance and via the library.
Transportation will be provided from Paris, a donation of 20 euros per adult to the library is suggested, though not required, there will be a light reception with the cast and crew after the performance on March 27 and a live auction of stage props after the performance on March 28. Please join us!
Vocal 3D

This concert is a celebration of song from all three ASP divisions. This year students are aiming to trace the power of song' featuring choral and solo repertoire from areas where vocal music has had a real impact on humanity through the ages: Theater, Religion, Art, Cultures and Entertainment/Education. Don't miss this highlight on the ASP calendar!
Note: A bus will run to Paris after the concert.

New this year! ASP's Extension Program is offering enriching summer classes and activities for every grade level and a variety of interests. The offerings will start on June 26, some in a French language learning environment. This new programming matches ASP's commitment to academic excellence, individual growth, and the opportunity to discover new talents and passions with an individualized summer to fit each camper and student. There are age-appropriate opportunities for students from each division, starting with Grade 2. Here is a glimpse at some of the programs:

Children's Author Talks to ASP Parents

Rosemary Wells, well-known author and illustrator of picture books and novels for children will be coming to ASP on April 18 and 19 to work with students in Grades K-8. On that Tuesday (the first day after vacation), she will offer a parent talk and book signing. Books will not be on sale at ASP but are readily available for purchase online. Ideas for Spring Break in Paris
Amazing Animals in Paris
Elephants, lions, rhinoceros, giraffes, crocodiles … Paris offers visitors the opportunity to see all sorts of animals. Click for some tips on where to find them (in contained environments!) within the city limits.
African Reserve in Thoiry
Many animals roam freely along an 8-kilometre (5.0 mi) road through the 240-acre (97 ha) "African Reserve" in the suburb of Thoiry. Drive through and see the animals in the reserve, which include Przewalski horses, bears, European and American bison, wildebeast, kudu, dromedary camels, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, hippos, eland, Watusi cattle, and three elephants. Animals in a walk-through portion of the zoo include Siberian tigers, Eurasian lynx, snow leopards, lar gibbons, red pandas, ring-tailed lemurs, a colony of about 60 Tonkean macaques, cheetahs, reticulated python, wolves, pygmy goats, and Komodo dragons. Opening for the season on April 1.
