World Mental Health Day
Upper School Takes Action
ASP students recognized the World Health Organization's - World Mental Health Day this week. With the assistance of Bec Buist, a Mental Health Counselor, Advocate, and ASP Parent, our National Honor Society students, counselors, and teachers designed a "take what you need" board filled with healthy messages that our community members can take for themselves or give to someone else.
While healthy self-talk is important, the goal is to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and to encourage our school community to talk more about it.
Each message has a QR code leading to a site where students can find more information/resources on mental health.
There were also green ribbons available for community members to wear in support of mental health awareness.
We look forward to more opportunities to recognize and talk about mental health within our ASP community in the future.
