Musical Performance

Join us as Professional Musicians Perform ASP Student's Composition

On Tuesday May 28 at 10:30 a.m. in the Coulson Family Commons, we will be celebrating AP and IB Music courses that have been added this year to enrich and extend our ensemble music program. Excellence, inspiration, challenge and innovation will all be on display when a professional String Quartet led by teacher Mindy Morel will perform an exciting original student composition. Inspired by the 20th century Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich, Grade 11 student Thomas Neocleous has written a string quartet that offers multiple layers of melody, complex rhythms and plenty of tension and resolution – a hallmark of the music of this era. This special performance will mark the very first IB composition in ASP's history. All are welcome to be present on this occasion – a world première. Don't miss this moment, and the chance to celebrate music at ASP. For more information, please contact music teacher Kirsten Love
