"Join us for a wonderful day celebrating ASP's multicultural global family"

 

ASP's annual PFA-sponsored International Day will be held on Saturday, May 16. This is a fun, family day for the entire ASP community: students, parents, teachers, staff and Extension Program families.

Through food, music and games, we are able to share and learn about many of the 60 cultures and traditions which make up our international community.

 

PRE-REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE!

Purchase your International Day Tickets early and receive 1 FREE ticket for every 10 purchased! DOWNLOAD your form today and turn it in to the PFA Community Room or PFA Kitchen.  

 

PROGRAM

10:30                   Arrival, game registration, and ticket purchasing

11:00-12:30         International Olympic Games

11:00-2:30           International Foods & Country Games

12:00-12:30         Middle School Band Performance

12:30-1:00           OK Chorale Performance

1:00-1:30             US Jazz Band Performance (tentative)

1:30-2:30             Guitar Performance

3:00-4:00             International Quiz*

Giant-sized inflatable games will also be on the sports field for children throughout the day, 10:30am -4:00pm

  

INTERNATIONAL QUIZ

New this year is the International Quiz. Test your knowledge of international trivia such as capital cities, flags, currencies, etc... and have FUN at the same time. All are welcome and we encourage teachers, students, staff, parents, siblings and friends to form teams. Teams may have up to 6 members and pre-registration of teams is encouraged. INTERNATIONAL FOOD BOOTHS 

Already many of you have volunteered to help represent your country in the food booths. Those participating so far are:  Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Greece, India, Ireland, Israel, Lebanon, Mexico, The Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Puerto Rico, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A. and Venezuela.

Several countries from Asia and the Middle East are also working together to form booths from their respective regions. Additionally, we are putting together an International Cook Book.  If you would like to help cook or man your country's booth, please contact Connie Gomez: connielgomez@gmail.com.

  

VOLUNTEERS! 

To make this day a complete success and fun for all, we are also looking for volunteers to take on small tasks. If you can help in any of these areas: set-up, clean-up, cookbook, decorate, serve food, or supervise a game for an hour, please contact Peggy Morrison: peggy_morrison123@yahoo.com
