Service Learning
At ASP, our students are challenged to grow as leaders beyond the ASP walls. The ASP vision of excellence is to cultivate a broader spectrum of global understanding and develop a sense of responsibility that goes beyond one’s own life. From hands-on work in a Romanian children’s hospital, to teaching English in the Kalahari Desert,, to building homes for families in need, our service-learning opportunities enrich our curriculum and empower our students to engage as global citizens.
Some of the programs that students have actively participated in, or initiated, in recent years include:
- Romanian Children's Relief (Romania)
- Kenya Club
- Rishikesh India project
- Sumba Foundation Club
- Habitat for Humanity
- Kalahari Education Experience (South Africa)
- Kids Home (Thailand)
- Peer Mentor Program
- National Honor Society
- Red Cross Group
- Fundraising for a host of causes
