ASP is once again pleased to offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities in FRENCH and ENGLISH for your children.
Spring 2017 offerings available below
We are delighted to offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities for students in Grades 6-8 in both English and in French (each activity runs once a week on the same day after school):
Hip Hop Dance and Workout (Mondays, Grades 6-8): Hip Hop dance-offs and dance competitions continue to be the rage around the world and a great way to stay fit! If any of you in the Middle School—both boys and girls—love music and love to dance, you can’t just sit by and not join us. Our expert instructor Lauren Macé returns for another year to teach you the mad skillz of hip-hop while improving your cardio training, balance, and strength. Join us each week to some great beats and great moves! Grades 6-8, Mondays starting January 9, 2017 (13 sessions), 130€
Improv Theater (10 sessions only, Mondays, Grades 6-8): Are you up for a new kind of theater challenge? Do you want to have fun on stage? Imagine a game like ice hockey on stage! 3 periods, 2 teams, 1 referee, and even penalties! For 1 hour every 2 weeks, this Improv Theater (in French "Le Match d'Impro") will ask teams of students to (try and) out-perform one another with their skills and creativity. You'll have lots of fun while learning how to think on your feet, develop acting skills and your sense of humour, confidence, creativity, and teamwork. Students will take lessons in FRENCH with instructors from Players Tennis Academy (off-campus; transportation is provided to and from the courts) The focus is on developing all skills involved in this beautiful game. Students must have their own tennis shoes and rackets to participate. Open to all levels of players. More details to follow about the activity day and meeting point. Sessions in FRENCH. Here in the capitol city of Paris, we breathe fashion and design, and for the past year at ASP, our young and passionate designers have enthusiastically created projects for the fall, summer, and winter seasons. Join us if you are new are returning, and learn to apply the basics of rendering and illustration, including figure proportions, shading, and style details to create an individual portfolio. Your final project includes dressing a 3D model with a variety of materials to create a unique line of clothing. You will also learn basic hand sewing techniques (but no sewing machines will be used). Sessions in English. Grades 6-8, Wednesdays starting January 11, 2017 (15 sessions), 155€
