Our Ambassadors are here to help you...
There are a number of fine schools in the Paris area. We believe that expatriate relocations are most successful when a family makes the most informed choice possible in selecting the school that best matches their expectations and the needs of their children. And we firmly believe that the best and most objective source of information about a school comes from the parents whose children have experienced it and the students themselves.
To help inform families who are moving to Paris about the American School of Paris as a school choice, we have established our ASP Ambassadors Program.
A group of present and past ASP parents are on-hand to contact prospective families by email, offering to answer any questions they might have from the point of view of an ASP parent.
In addition, a number of our Upper School students are very happy to email with your child to answer questions, reassure them and just be a friendly first contact. See Student Ambassadors
If you would like to be contacted by an ASP Parent Ambassador, please e-mail the Admissions Director, Brenda Heussaff, at admissions@asparis.fr.
In addition the school has a series of parent liaisons who form a network of support for all our families according to children's grades, the neighborhood where you choose to live or by your nationality or culture.
Please feel free to contact any of the parents listed below at their official Parent Faculty Association email address.

Grade Liaisons
The PFA has volunteer groups who work in direct liaison with the school divisions, home rooms and teachers. These representatives are often the first contact for new families arriving at ASP who wish to be more involved in their child’s education and the school.
Parent Head Liaisons:
One liaison per division represents the parent community at the monthly Board of Trustee Education meetings, is responsible for monthly meetings with each Division Director and Grade Level Liaisons.
Lower School Bonnie Guth pfalslhead@asparis.fr
Middle School Theresa Schott pfamslhead@asparis.fr
Upper School Anna Ecklund Cheong pfauslhead@asparis.fr
Parent Grade Level Liaisons:
One each for grades K-5 and two each for grades 6-12. The K-5 liaisons are assisted by Room Parents in organizing class parties and events. The Grade Level Liaisons attend monthly meetings with the Head Liaisons for their Division to discuss activities, events and issues.

Neighborhood Liaisons 10-11
For many of our new families this will be their first time moving to France. To help them along the way, we have organized the Neighborhood Liaison program which is made up of current and former ASP parents currently living in your future neighborhoods. Feel free to contact any one of your future neighbors to help get some of your questions answered!

"Our family moved to Paris from Stolkholm, Sweden in the summer of 2005. We have also lived in California and Wisconsin. We love living in Garches for its proximity to so many things including ASP - you'll see me, my son, and our dog Rex walking to school almost every morning!"

"Born in Malaysia, the child of British parents, I returned to the UK when I was 7. I then lived around the UK and London until I was 28 when I moved with my first daughter, Tamsin, and my husband to Barcelona. After 3 years and another child, Natasha, we moved to Mexico. After another couple of years and another daughter, Jenny, we moved back to Barcelona. Three years later we went to Campinas, Brazil, then after another three on to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I am in my 35th house! We will be starting our third year at ASP and are hoping to remain here until Jenny graduates. I write screenplays, play tennis, and chair the Friends of the Arts committee at ASP."

"We orginally moved from New York City, and then moved to Northern California when the children were young and lived there for 10 years. We've been in Paris for the past three years and are about to start our fourth year at ASP. We have two children, Jacqueline, a senior, and Rob, an eighth grader. Both of our children love ASP and love living in Paris. Our time spent in Paris has been truly amazing and I look forward to helping new families in my neighborhood get acquanited with life here."

"We moved to France 10 years ago from the Washington DC area and have lived in Le Vesinet, Neuilly-sur-Seine, and now the 16th arrondisement of Paris. My son started at ASP in 8th grade after going to the Marymount School. I also have a son who is a freshman in college in Boston. As one of the “old-timers” I have lots of experience and would be happy to share that and offer guidance and answer questions for any of our new families. Bienvenue!"
